Georgia Tech Multimedia Days

Part of my role as Assistant Athletic Director of Brand & Ideation was to develop the content plan for multimedia days as well as coordinate each shoot.

Due to a limited staff and resources, traditionally most of our sports received a scaled down multimedia day compared to football. I made a strategic decision to expand our production in effort to increase content for social media, in-venue, recruiting, and for athletes’ to have more media at their disposal.

We previously would hold a backdrop photoshoot and a videoshoot if the team played in a venue with a videoboard. Subsequently the content was extremely limited and only served a couple purposes. When we made the shift, teams received a backdrop photoshoot, a videoshoot for gifs, a photoshoot from the gif station, and photos from the intro videoshoot.

The adjustment led to a significant increase in content for multiple parties. Many of the coaches and athletes received content that they never had before. Our sports information directors had numerous forms of photos and videos at their fingertips to use on social or on our website. The marketing staff had the opportunity to use the additional media to enhance the in-game experience.
